Two apparently unrelated burglaries, with a similar method of operation, occurred in Manassas on Wednesday.

A homeowner on the 10900 block of Coverstone Dr. reported to police that a burglar stole cash from his residence between 6:45 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Police did not find any signs of forced entry.

Another homeowner on the 10800 block of Daisy Ct. called police at 11:43 a.m. The homeowner told police that around 10:30 a.m., he was in his bedroom when a strange man opened the door. After he was caught, the man left the home, but not before taking electronics and two gaming consoles worth $900, according to police reports. Police did not find any signs of forced entry.
