Police Blotter: Copper Piping Stolen From Local Business

Reported arrests, burglaries and larcenies throughout the Manassas area.

Arrests:
  •  Emilio Vega, 46, of Manassas, was arrested for operating an unlicensed business (Mexico Lindo in Fredericksburg).  Vega was released by an officer on his own recognizance. Mexico Lindo will not be allowed to open for business until a license is obtained. The arrest of Vega comes after police were called to the establishment around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning for overcrowding and a fight that resulted in two individuals suffering stab wounds. 
  •  Keith Aaron Zabielski, 29, of Dumfries, was arrested on Friday shortly before 10:30 p.m. and charged with robbery, assault and battery and destruction of property after a female victim, identified as a 22-year-old Manassas woman, reported to police that she and the accused became involved in a verbal altercation. The accused allegedly prevented the victim from exiting the vehicle, broke the victim's cell phone as she tried to call for help. The victim was able to get out of the vehicle but the accused followed, pushing her to the ground. The victim sustained minor injuries. The accused fled the area prior to police arrival but was arrested on April 3.
  • Charlie Joseph Arcaica-Ortiz, 22, of Manassas (20109) was arrested on April 1 and charged with possession with intent to distribute after the drugs ecstasy and marijuana were found at his residence with the execution of a search warrant. The accused was arrested for the drug offenses by Prince William County Police and served on outstanding warrants from Warrenton.  Court date set for May 2. He is being held without bond.
  • Trevon Isaiah Walker, 20, of Vienna, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a robbery for an incident that happened in Manassas (20109) on Thursday, March 31. The victim, identified as a 21-year-old Manassas man, told police he was attacked by three men, two of which possessed handguns. The victim was robbed of his clothing, electronics and a shotgun,  receiving minor injuries. The investigation continues as police search for the two other suspects allegedly involved in the case. 

 

Burglary:
  •  Prince William County Police responded to the 7400 block of Norwalk Ct in Manassas (20112) Sunday around 3:30 p.m.  for a burglary. A homeowner reported to police  the burglary occurred overnight Saturday. Entry appeared to have been made into an unlocked vehicle in the driveway, which contained a electronic door opener for the attached garage. A radio valued around $25 was reported missing from the garage.
  • Prince William County Police responded to the Iglesia Puerta Del Cielo Church located at 10650 Crestwood Dr in Manassas (20109) Sunday around 8 a.m. for a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between during the overnight hours of April 2.  Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window, which had been broken out. Musical instruments valued around $650 were reported missing.
  • Prince William County Police responded to the 6400 block of Yates Ford Rd in Manassas (20110) around 8 a.m. Saturday for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police the residence had been burglarized sometime between noon and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31. Entry appeared to have been made through a garage door. Tools and other equipment valued around $16,000 were reported missing.

 

Larceny:
  • According to Manassas City Police are looking for the individual (s) responsible for stealing copper piping from an outside AC unit at the Small Smiles Dental Center, located at 9012 Mathis Avenue. The estimate for the replacement of the AC unit is over $7,000.
