A Maryland man was arrested after he reportedly stole 14 purses from his roommate, Manassas City Police said.
Police responded to a call at Giant Food on 8819 Centreville Rd. on Sept. 5. Police reports said that a man had left a gym bag in the store with 14 purses inside. Police investigated and found that the purses were stolen property.
Michael Ezzo, 26, of 6221 43rd Ave., Hyattsville, MD, was arrested on unrelated charges in Prince William County. Police have not yet served a warrant for burglary with intent to commit larceny.
A victim told police that Ezzo used to be her roommate, and that he had broken into her house while she was away and stole the purses.
