Cell phone data helped lead Police to driver in fatal crash

An 18 year-old Gainesville man who was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving in a car crash that killed two teenage girls had his arraignment hearing continued until Sept. 14.

Two warrants executed for a building on the 9300 block of Peabody St. in Manassas on May 14 reveal that Prince William County Police confiscated data from a T-mobile cell phone and AT&T cell phone looking for evidence of Suarez’s actions.

Christopher Eduard Suarez was the driver of a 2005 Dodge Magnum that hit a deer April 20, which caused him to lose control of the truck on Logmill Rd. and hit a tree.

Kaeleen Tucker, 15, of Gainesville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two days later, a second occupant, identified as Savanna Kidane Mouratidis, 15, of Haymarket, was also pronounced dead.

The remaining two occupants in the vehicle, a 14-year-old female and 17-year-old male, are expected to recover from their injuries.

Police said speed was a factor in the crash and none of the occupants were wearing a seat belt.
