Police: Brothers Wanted in Assault, Air Jordan Shoe Collection Theft

Proof that sneakers have value these days: a Manassas man reported an assault Thursday afternoon, but the suspects are always wanted for stealing several pairs of his shoes, according to Prince William County Police.

Daniel Thomas Vargas, 21, of the 8900 block of Burwell Road in Nokesville, is wanted for malicious wounding and is still at large. 

Justin Thomas Vargas, 18, of the same address, was arrested Friday and charged with malicious wounding, burglary, and grand larceny. 

At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Edgepark Circle in Manassas. The victims, 20, told police that he answered the door and was immediately assaulted by Daniel Vargas, according to a police report. 

As the two fought outside the home, the victim alleges that Justin Vargas entered the home and stole multiple pairs of Air Jordan tennis shoes.

Both suspects fled the area on foot. The victim had non-life threatening injuries.
