Police: "Combative" Inmate Bites Officer's Thigh

The bite allegedly broke the officer's skin, Prince William County Police said.

A corrections officer working at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center received medical treatment this week after an inmate supposedly bit the officer on the thigh, Prince William County Police reports show. 

On Tuesday just before midnight, a man who was charged earlier with public intoxication and resisting arrest became combative during processing and bit a corrections officer in the thigh, police said. 

The injury broke the officer's skin and resulted in his being sent for medical treatment.

Victor Keith Lystad, 42, of  Foothill Street in Woodbridge is charged with malicious wounding of a corrections officer.  He is being held without bond at the adult detention center.
