A woman held at the regional adult detention center was found dead last week, according to Prince William County Police.

The deceased has been identified as Carolyn Nichols Hackney, 41, of Manassas.

According to police, detention center staff found Hackney unresponsive near 3:30 p.m. April 23 at the facility at 9320 Lee Avenue.

"Detention center medical personnel responded to the inmate and performed CPR, along with correctional officers, until rescue personnel arrived," according to a PWCPD release. "The inmate was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased."

Police believe the death was from apparent medical complications, but a final autopsy report is pending.

Seriously? This is all you have to say? She likely has a family that will now have to grieve. I'm a law and order guy but this is just a stupid response on your part Jackson.

Carolyn, I pray today you were finally able to leave all your worries behind, and you were truly able to find that peace we all crave, and that the light touched your soul and it is now happy and whole, and that we will see each other again in Heaven, someday

Jackson Tennessee I don't know if you knew Carolyn but she was my friend for 20+ years. Yes she made a mistake but you will never Find a kinder, sweeter and big hearted person in this world. I am sure since you feel justifiedt to judge her that you have never made a mistake in your life. Shane on you!
