$10,000 in Tools Stolen from Academy Bus in Bristow

Police are also investigating burglaries in the Manassas-area and Haymarket.

The following burglaries were reported in the Manassas-area and in western Prince William County this week:
Prince William County Police are investigating a burglary reported at 3:35 a.m. on Friday at the Academy Bus at 7920 Gainsford Ct. in Bristow.
Staff told police the burglary happened 11:45 a.m. on Thursday and 3:35 a.m. on Friday. Entry was probably made through the garage area of the business. Tool boxes containing items valued at  more than $10,000, were reported missing.  

Prince William County Police responded to a residence on the 5300 block of Yorktown Run Court in Haymarket at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday for a burglary investigation. 
  
The homeowner told officers the burglary happened between 6:10 p.m. on Jan. 11th and 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 25. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence but entry is believed to have been made by a previous tenant utilizing a key to a secure door. A package of unknown value was reported missing.


Police are trying to identify a man recorded on surveillance video taking cables from a Manassas-area business.  Police responded to Temp Power at 12259 Livington Road at 4 p.m. on Thursday. There, the owner of the business told police  someone broke in between 12:38 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 18. 
 
Surveillance video from the business showed an unknown man entering through an open garage door. Cables, valued around $6,600, were reported missing.  The suspect is described as a white man between 25 and 40 years old, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.  He was last seen wearing blue shirt, blue jeans, white gloves and a black ski mask.  

Police are investigating the burglary of a home on the 10000 block of Orland Stone Drive in Bristow. The homeowner told police someone tried to enter the home through the front door between 11 and 2 p.m. on Thursday.  The person damaged the front door, but didn't gain entry. No items were reported missing.
