Police: Man Robbed at Knifepoint Outside Local Restaurant

Police in Manassas are investigating violent robberies.

Attempted Robbery

Manassas City police (MCPD) are investigating a violent robbery attempt that occurred near Stonewall Park Pool on July 4. 

Officers were called to the 8400 block of Kirby Street shortly before midnight on July 4. The 18-year-old victim told officers he was walking on a pathway near Stonewall Pool when a group of four to five people walked up behind him and began punching him in the face and broke a bottle over his head. He was also bitten above his right eye and right arm, according to police.

The victim told police the assailants tried to remove his sneakers during the assault, but were unsuccessful.

The victim, who was not able to give officers a specific description of his attackers,  sustained injuries to his head and face and was treated at a local hospital, police said.

Police continue to investigate the incident. Robbery

Manassas City Police (MCPD) officers say a man was robbed at knifepoint outside Don Julio's Restaurant on Centreville Road Wednesday night. 

Officers responded to the restaurant located in the 9000 block of Centreville Road just after 10 p.m. on July 11. The victim told officers he was leaving the restaurant when he was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money by two Hispanic men with a knife.

The victim was not injured during the incident, police said.

One suspect was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, 20 – 25-years-old,  5-foot-6 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white bandanna, white and black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his mid-thirties. The victim could not give officers a description of a third suspect who was sitting in a white two-door vehicle at the time of the robbery.
