Police: Kawasaki Test Drive Ends in Hit and Run Charges

$1,000 in damage to the bike, according to Manassas Police Department.

A Gainesville man is accused of taking a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle for a test drive and wrecking the bike, according to Manassas City Police.

Felix Alexander Gaines, 49, of the 13000 block of Sterling Point Drive, was charged with reckless driving and hit and run. He has a pending court date May 7.

Police responded to the 9000 block of Centreville Road regarding a hit and run involving a motorcycle. The bike was from Manassas Honda Kawasaki Suzuki.

Police allege that the driver of the bike was under the influence of alcohol when he took it for a test drive. Gaines is accused of causing $1,000 worth of damage to the bike and an additional $100 in damage to a street sign.
