Police: Knife-Wielding Man Charged With Assault and Battery

Donnell Alonte Murray, 23, of Manassas, was charged with burglary and assault and battery.

A Manassas man was charged with burglary and assault and battery after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife, Prince William County Police said. 

Donnell Alonte Murray, 23, of the 7900 block of Meadow Court in Manassas, was charged with burglary and assault and battery. 

Police responded to the incident on Oct. 14 at 6:47 p.m. The 45-year-old victim reported that he was on the 7500 block of Sage Street, near the shopping center on Streamwalk Lane, when Murray approached him. The two got into an argument and Murray pulled out a knife, police said.

The victim ran to his home when Murray tried to force his way in. A police officer subsequently found Murray and detained him without further incident. The victim did not report any injuries. Murray was held without bond.
