Police: Man Claims He Was Assaulted By Mob of His Peers

A man told Manassas Police a group of people he knew assaulted him on Friday.

Police arrested three people who they say assaulted a man early Friday morning. 
It happened just after 12 a.m. in Byrd Park on Cavalry Lane where the victim told police four people he knew assaulted him and stole his knife, Manassas Police reports show. 
Responding officers were able to find the suspects in the area and detain them. After an investigation, Tracy Alexander Woodson, Jr., 19, of Petersburg Court in Manassas, Philip James Barnes, 18, of Abingdon Court in Manassas and Joshua Nile Willis, 19, of Longview Drive in Woodbridge were each charged with robbery, assault by mob and trespassing. 

Charges are pending against a fourth individual, who is a juvenile.  The suspects were held at the adult detention center pending an arraignment. 
They will appear in court in October, Manassas Police said.
