Police: Man Shot While Running From Attackers

The 59-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police in the City of Manassas are looking for three suspects accused of attempting to rob a man while shooting him in the leg as he fled for safety.

Police said they were called to investigate a shooting that occurred in the 9200 block of Douglas Street Wednesday around 6:30 a.m.

The victim told officers that he was sitting in his vehicle after leaving a friend’s house, when three males—one with a silver handgun—walked up to the car and demanded money from him. The victim told officers the men then forced him out of his vehicle after he refused their demands.
