A 17-year-old Falls Church girl managed to escape from her kidnapper after he took her from her home and sexually assaulted her at his residence, Prince William County Police said on Tuesday.
Fairfax County and Prince William County Police became aware of the alleged incident on Sunday.
An investigation revealed the suspect took the victim, a known acquaintance, from her Falls Church home Saturday evening, forced her inside his Manassas-area home and sexually assaulted her.
Detectives said the victim was able to escape and call police once the suspect fell asleep.
Israel Arturo Alberto Zamora, 22, of Ashland Avenue in the Manassas area, was arrested Monday and charged with abduction with intent to defile, attempted rape and aggravated sexual battery.
He remains in custody at the Prince William County Detention Center. A bond amount hasn't been set.
