Police: Manassas Man Hits Transformer Box, Parked Cars During Chase

A Manassas-area man hit an electrical transformer, a fence and a line of parked cars during a police chase on Sunday, Prince William County Police reports show. 

Luis Fernando Galicia Pinto,39, of the 7400 block of Fenwood Court, is charged with domestic assault and battery, three counts of hit and run, felony eluding, driving under the influence of alcohol — a third or subsequent offense, driving on a revoked license and obstruction of justice, according to reports. 

Police tried to stop the fleeing suspect after a 38-year-old victim told police the suspect hit her during a heated argument Sunday at a Fenwood Court home before he drove away, police reports show.

An officer spotted the suspect's car and tried to stop it near Sudley Manor Drive and Forrester Lane. 

The accused ignored the officer's emergency equipment and continued driving; hitting several cars, the transformer and ultimately a fence before stopping near Urbanna Road and Portsmouth Drive, police said.

Following a short foot pursuit, the accused was caught. No injuries were reported as a result of the suspect fleeing from officers, but the victim in the domestic dispute did report minor injuries, police said.

Pinto is being held without bond at the Prince William County Detention Center.
