The parents of an 8-month-old baby girl found unattended at Walmart on Sunday were arrested by Prince William County Police, authorities said on Monday.

Kenia and Allister Odum, both 30 and of Towering Oak Way in Manassas are each charged with felony child neglect, Prince William Police reports show.

The baby was found sitting in a stroller inside the store at 9401 Liberia Ave by another Walmart customer, who alerted staff just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Several announcements about the child were made through the store's public address system but no one responded and employees called police.

As officers were talking to store employees the child's parents showed up, police said.

They had been in the store all along, Jonathan Perok, spokesman for the PWC police said.

The child wasn't harmed during the incident.

The suspects were arrested after a brief investigation. Bond information isn't available on either suspect, police said.

Really?!!! How in the world does anyone forget their child while shopping?! That is sick... They were so focused that they couldn't even hear the loud announcement....? They do not deserve to be parents!

These are the kind of people that should be sterilized by the state. Society needs to start protecting children by making sure people that are so ignorant can't keep having more children that they either don't want or refuse to take care of. I blame religions for protecting and enabling the scum of the earth. The secular world needs to take control because if we don't more children will be harmed or worse.
