Police Release Sketch of George Street Shooting Suspect

The suspect is believed responsible for a shooting on George Street back on March 19, during an apparent drug deal gone wrong.

Police in Manassas have released a sketch of a man believed responsible for a shooting on George Street back on March 19, during an apparent drug deal gone wrong.

Police said the victim sustained injuries to his upper arm area as a result of the shooting.

A Manassas City Police Officer was patrolling the area of Prince William Hospital shortly before 8 p.m. on the same date, when the victim walked up to him and advised that he had been shot.

The victim was suffering from two gunshot wounds to his left arm pit and one to the left tricep area, police said. 

An investigation revealed that between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the same date the victim was in the area of George Street attempting to purchase narcotics when a male attempted to rob him.

The victim then fled the area and drove himself to the hospital where he flagged down the officer. He was then transported to a regional hospital due to the extent of his injuries.

The suspect was described as black, mid 20’s, approximately 5’8” tall, 150 lbs with short curly hair. He was last seen wearing jeans, a green Polo style shirt with a black t-shirt underneath it. See attached photo sketch.
