Police Seek Information in Home Invasion, Sexual Assault

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the man responsible for a home invasion and sexual assault in the Bristow Village community outside of Manassas.

Police in Prince William County are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man responsible for a home invasion and sexual assault in the Bristow Village community outside of Manassas.

Police said the victim, identified as a 38-year-old woman, reported a man forced his way into her home in the area of Infantry Lane Friday,  March 18th,  shortly before 11 a.m. and sexually assaulted her.

The victim struggled with the assailant who eventually fled the home in a medium-sized, white two-door pickup truck. Police are not sure of the year and model of the vehicle, but said it does not appear to be new.

Police have put a lookout for the vehicle and have provided a partial tag number of ‘XFC’ or ‘XCF’ with a ‘4’ or ‘6’ in the last part of the tag.

Police are looking for a black male, believed to be in his 30’s between 5 feet 10 inches-6 feet tall and 180-200 lbs with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, which was tucked in to light blue ‘washed-style’ jeans. He also wore yellow/tan work boots and had a black cell phone case clip on his right side.
