A man is accused of assaulting two victims in the IHOP parking lot in Manassas early Easter Sunday, according to Prince William County Police.

Andrew Joseph Maynard, 22, of the 100 block of Denver Drive, Manassas Park, is charged with 2 counts of assault & battery, 1 count of strangulation and 1 count of destruction of property.

Officers responded at 2:50 a.m. Sunday to the restaurant at 8300 Sudley Road regarding a fight. The victims, a 24 year old man of Manassas and a 26 year
old man of Catlett, told police they were standing in the parking lot when an unknown man approached them and starting assaulting one of the victims, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"At one point, the man struck the other victim and began to choke him leading to a struggle," Perok said in a statement. "The man also struck the victim’s
vehicle multiple times before leaving the area on foot."

The victims sustained minor injuries. Officers located Maynard in the parking lot and he was detained without further incident.
