Woman Makes a Ruckus in Police Cruiser After Arrest

A Nokesville woman faces multiple charges after she reportedly dislodged the window of a police cruiser on her way to the county jail, got a hand out of her handcuffs, then assaulted an officer, Prince William County Police said. 

Samantha Alicia Mirro, 21, of Ringwood Road, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, domestic assault and battery, destruction of property and resisting arrest. She was held on a $7,000 secured bond. 

Police said that on Nov. 27 at 5:28 a.m., they responded to a call on the 10100 block of Parkside Drive in the Manassas area. A 22-year-old Manassas man reported that he and Mirro had argued. The altercation escalated, and she allegedly assaulted him, said police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok, in a press release. The man had minor injuries. 

"The accused was subsequently arrested and, while being transported to the Adult Detention Center, she became disorderly and unlatched her seatbelt," Perok said in the release. "The accused then kicked the window of the cruiser multiple times causing it to become dislodged."

The officer then stopped the cruiser near Sudley Road and Digges Road—at which point, Mirro was able to get a hand out of the handcuffs and assaulted him, Perok said. Additional officers arrived and detained her without further incident.
