Police: Robbery Suspect Shoots Store Manager with BB Gun

The manager told officers that he was in the process of closing the store when a black male walked in, displayed a BB or pellet gun and demanded money from the register.

Manassas City Police Officers are investigating a robbery that occurred at the Express Food Mart, located at 9792 Center St., shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The manager told officers that he was in the process of closing the store when a black male walked in, displaying a BB or a pellet gun and demanded money from the register.

The victim resisted and was shot in the forehead with the pistol, police said.  The suspect made off with an unknown amount of money. The victim sustained an injury to the forehead and was treated at the scene by rescue personnel, police said.

The suspect was described as black, 18 – 20 years old, approximately 5-foot-8, wearing a black shirt over a white t-shirt, dark colored slippers and dark camouflaged shorts. He was also wearing a black hat with red lettering.

This incident was captured on video surveillance cameras. Police continue to investigate. Police are offering a cash reward up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest.
