Series of Burglaries Investigated in Manassas

Police in Prince William County are investigating after a series of burglaries occurred in the Manassas area this week.

Police in Prince William County are investigating after a series of burglaries in the Manassas area.

 Burglary:

Police are looking for a man who tired to break into a residence in Manassas early Thursday morning.

Police were called to the 7400 block of Prince Charles St. (20111) at 1:18 a.m. for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that he had heard someone  trying to break into his residence through the front door. As the homeowner went to investigate the noise, he discovered an unknown man standing in his doorway. The man fled the area. There were no signs of forced entry and no items reported missing.

Police are looking for a white male, between 25 and 35 years old, 6’02” and 180lbs with a medium build, who was last seen wearing blue pans and work-style shirt and white tennis shoes.

Burglary:

Police responded to the 13000 block of Chaddsford Tr in Manassas (20112) for an alarm activation on Wednesday, April 27th just before 11 a.m. That’s when police arrived and observed the rear basement door, which had been forced opened. Police checked the residence. No items were reported missing.

 Burglary:

Police responded to the Comfort Suites located at 7350 Williamson Blvd in Manassas (20109) on Monday, April 25th at 4:34 p.m. for the report of a burglary.   Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between midnight on April 23rd and 10 a.m. on April 24th. It appeared that one of the rooms within the hotel was entered. There were no signs of forced entry. A TV valued around $500 was reported missing.

 Attempted Burglary:

Police responded to the 10500 block of Battleview Pkwy in Manassas (20109) for an attempted burglary on Wednesday, April 27th at 3:35 p.m.  It was reported to police that sometime between 7:00 a.m. on April 26th and 1:30 p.m. on April 27th an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the building by prying open a fire door. No entry was believed to have been made and no items were reported missing.
