Stolen Vehicle Involved in Hit and Run Crash

A vehicle stolen from outside a Manassas City home was involved in a hit and run incident in neighboring Fairfax County, according to Manassas City Police.

A vehicle stolen from outside a Manassas City home was involved in a hit and run incident in neighboring Fairfax County. 

Manassas City police are investigating the theft of the vehicle that occurred in the 9000 block of Traveler Street between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00, on August 24.

The victim was informed by the Fairfax County Police Department that his vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident in their county.

The victim then went outside and realized that his vehicle, a 2005 Dodge van, was missing. The victim informed police that the keys were left inside of the van and the doors unlocked.

Police continue to investigate and are urging residents to park their vehicles in well-lit areas during night time hours and to make sure that their vehicles are locked.
