Student Robbed On the Way to School

Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a 14-year-old student at gunpoint as he walked to school Friday morning.

Manassas City Police is investigating after an Osbourn High School student was robbed by a man with a gun while he walked to school Friday morning.

 Police said the robbery occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the area near the school’s tennis courts just off of Prince William Street. The victim has been identified as a 14-year-old male student at the school. He was not harmed, police said

The victim told police he was approached by a black male who demanded his wallet and that the man had a hand gun in his waistband.

The suspect fled with the victim’s IPod and the student reported the incident to the school’s resource officer, according to police.

 The investigation is ongoing.

 The suspect has been described as a six-foot-tall black male in his 20’s with a skinny build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a “do-rag”, black leather jacket and black pants.

 Police said the suspect had a distinctive feature that may help bring him to justice: a dark mole on his right cheek.
