Suspect Accused of Holding Knife Against Victim's Throat

A verbal altercation spiraled out of control Friday at a home on Coverstone Drive in the Manassas-area of Prince William County.
A 31-year-old woman living on the 10900 block of Coverstone Drive called police just after 8 p.m. and told them she'd been involved in a verbal altercation with someone she knew and that person threatened her with a knife, Prince William County Police reports show.
During the confrontation the accused grabbed a knife and held it against the victim's neck, causing minor injuries, investigators said.
Auner Isai Duque Garcia, 27, of Coverstone Drive is charged with malicious wounding. Garcia remains in custody at the adult detention center in Manassas. No bond has been set, but he is expected to appear in court in October.
