Police: Suspect Breaks Beer Bottle Over Victim's Head in Old Town Manassas
Manassas Police said the fight broke out near City Tavern on Sunday.
A man had a beer bottle broken over his head during a fight in Old Town Manassas early Sunday morning, Manassas City Police said.
James Robert Page, 28, of Centreville Rd, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding.
Police were patrolling the area near City Tavern at 9405 Main St. at 1:30 a.m. when they saw two men fighting. During the fight, the suspect broke a beer bottle over the other man's head, police said.
The victim suffered lacerations to the back of his head and was treated at the scene by EMS.
The suspect was held at the adult detention center in Manassas and is expected to appear in court on Sept. 24.
