Teen Arrested in Manassas Stabbing Case

A 17-year-old Manassas suspect was arrested this month in connection with the stabbing of another teen in October, Manassas Police said. 

The suspect, who isn't being identified because of his age, was found by Manassas Police at the intersection of Hastings Drive and Racquet Court in Manassas on Dec 20 and arrested.  He is charged with malicious wounding in connection with the Oct. 18 assault on Mathis Avenue. 

The arrest was made after a three-month investigation by local investigators and the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force.

Police said the victim was stabbed twice by the suspect at the Manassas Shopping Center. 

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
