A teenage boy was transported to Prince William Hosptial Thursday with non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a small pick-up truck while riding his bike, according to Manassas City Police Sergeant Eddie Rivera.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Quarry Road and Prescott Avenue. Rivera said the driver remained at the scene to speak with officers. No charges are pending against the driver, he said.
Rivera said the driver was turning right onto Prescott Avenue from Quarry Road at the same time the 13 to 14-year-old boy was crossing Quarry Road. There's a stop sign and sidewalk at the intersection.
