Three Arrests in Police Officer's Disappearance
Kevin Quick was last seen Jan. 31. Arrested in Prince William County, new suspects include two Manassas residents, according to report.
Three new arrests were made late Thursday in the death of police Captain Kevin Wayne Quick, according to multiple reports.
Halisi Uhuru, 22, of Danville; Leslie Hope Casterlow, 49, of Manassas; and Anthony Darnell Stokes Jr., 31, also of Manassas; were apprehended in Prince William County.
The Associated Press notes no charges have been filed in Quick's death. The charges the three now face are principal in the 2nd degree to the crime of murder, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
"This means these individuals are not being charged with Quick’s homicide but in association with his death," said Virginia State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller.
A resident of Rockfish, Quick disappeared Jan. 31. Surveillance footage on Saturday showed his car in Manassas. The car was eventually found in Louisa.
Siblings Daniel Mathis and Mersadies Shelton were charged earlier this week in the theft of Quick's Toyota 4Runner.
On Thursday, a body believed to be Quick's was recovered in Goochland.
