Three Men Charged in Connection With Attempted Burglary

Jose Santos Ortiz, Fidel Enrique Guevara and Andy Lewis Webster face charges in connection with an attempted burglary on Sudley Manor Drive.

Three local men face charges after they apparently tried to break into a Manassas area home Sunday, Prince William County Police said.

Jose Santos Ortiz, 18, of no fixed address, was charged with attempted burglary, destruction of property, obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana.

Fidel Enrique Guevara, 20, of Community Drive in Manassas, was charged with attempted burglary.

Andy Lewis Webster, 20, of Brookstone Court in Manassas, was charged with attempted burglary while armed, destruction of property, posession of a concealed weapon and possession of a stolen firearm.

A homeowner on the 9700 block of Sudley Manor Drive reported that she was asleep in her home when she heard the sound of grass breaking. She immediately called police, at 4:15 a.m. When officers arrived, they saw that the basement window was broken and there appeared to be blood on some of the glass.

Additional officers who were checking the neighborhood stopped a vehicle with three men inside. The men were leaving the area, and two of them had injuries "consistent with breaking glass," said Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the Prince William County Police Department, in a press release.

Perok said that another man had a handgun which had been reported stolen.

"Following an investigation, all three men were connected to the burglary and were subsequently arrested," Perok said, in the release.

The information in this article was provided by the Prince William County Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
