Triple Murder Guilty Plea in Manassas

Fatal victims included a woman and two men in 2011 incident, along with others injured, according to Manassas City Police.

The suspect in a 2011 triple homicide pled guilty Wednesday, according to the Manassas City Police.

Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, 40, pled guilty to 3 counts of capital murder, 3 counts of malicious wounding, 5 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony and 1 count of breaking and entering.

Reyes Alfaro was sentenced to 7 life sentences, plus 23 years, according to a police release.
 
On Feb. 10, 2011, officers responded to the 9200 block of Hood Road regarding a shooting. Officers discovered the body of a 56-year-old woman in the front yard, dead from gunshot wounds. Three other victims were found in the house with gunshot wounds.

In reporting at the time, The Washington Post identified the victim as Brenda Ashcraft, Reyes Alfaro's girlfriend. The paper noted that one of the victims discovered inside, Ashcraft's son, also died from gunshot wounds.

Thirty minutes later, a second shooting was reported in the 9600 block of Brent Street. Officers found the body of a 48-year-old man, dead from a gunshot wound, along with a 77-year-old woman who had suffered severe cuts to her head.

Reyes Alfaro was taken into custody during when his car was spotted shortly after the second call.
