Two Marylanders Charged in Manassas Prescription Fraud Case

Prince William County Police have charged two suspects from Maryland with obtaining drugs by fraud and distribution of a schedule I or II narcotic [oxycodone] following an investigation by the Street Crimes Unit. 

Police said detectives assisted patrol officers with an investigation into a "possible forgery of prescription medications."

"The investigation revealed that the two accused individuals drove from Baltimore County in Maryland on Sept. 5 in an attempt to pass fraudulent prescriptions at the Walgreens located at 6400 Hoadly Rd. in Manassas," said a press release from the police. "As a result of the investigation, an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency was seized." 

Tanika Monique Washington, 21, of Baltimore, MD has a court date set for Oct. 12 and she is currently held on a $1,500 secured bond, police said. 

Leon Jordan Caughman, 44, of of Elkton, MD has a court date set for Oct. 12. He is being held without bond, police said.
