Police: Two Men Charged With Assault and Battery

Michael Pollard, 21, and an unidentified male juvenile were both charged with robbery, assault and battery, and grand larceny.

The following information was provided by the Manassas City Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A victim told Manassas City Police that three men threw him to the ground and stole his wallet Sunday. 

Police charged two people in connection with the incident; a juvenile and Michael Pollard, 21. Both were charged with robbery, assault and battery, and grand larceny. The third man remains unidentified.

The victim told police that he was sitting on a park bench in the green area between Aspen Place and Byrd Drive around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 when men threw him to the ground and stole his wallet. According to police reports, the wallet was filled with cash and various documents. Officers later recovered the wallet at 9842 Buckner Rd. 

Pollard was held at the Prince William Adult Detention Center without bond; his court date was set for Nov. 5. The juvenile was held at the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.
