Two Men Try to Steal Bike From 11-Year-Old Boy

The men assaulted the boy and popped a tire on the bike, according to Prince William County Police.

Two men tried to steal a bicycle from an 11-year-old boy, but made a break for it after a passing motorist spotted them, Prince William County Police said. 

The boy told police that he was riding his bike near Lomond Drive and Brighton Way in the Manassas area on Wednesday at 6:25 p.m. when the men approached him. 

"One of the men assaulted the victim which knocked him off of his bike. Both men then attempted to take the bike. The men dropped the bike after they were observed by a passing motorist," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. 

Before the men left, they also popped a tire on the bike. The boy reported minor injuries. 

The first suspect is described as a white male, about 5'10", 200 pounds, with a medium build, collar length blonde hair and a mustache. He was wearing a yellow sweatshirt and khaki shorts. 

The second suspect is described as a black male, about 6'2", 200 pounds, with a medium build, short black hair and a goatee. He was wearing a red t-shirt, brown cargo pants and red boots.
