Vandals Shoot Out Car Windows

The Manassas City Police Department is investigating after two residents reported having their vehicles' windows shot out.

Officers were called to the 8500 block of Tapok Drive to investigate a vandalism report.  The officers were told that sometime between midnight on December 16, and 6:30 a.m. on December 20 somone shot out the victim's vehicle’s side windows.

The damage was estimated at approximately $500.00. Police said the inside of the vehicle was not tampered with.

Officers were then called to the 8400 block of Kirby Street on Dec. 18 to investigate a second vandalism incident. The victim told officers that sometime between midnight and 2:00 p.m. on that date his vehicle’s back window was shot out. The damage was estimated at approximately $200.00.

Again, the inside of the vehicle was not tampered with, police said.

Officers also responded to the 10400 block of Brackets Ford Circle to investigate after a victim reported having his left rear window vandalized and an iHome docking station stolen from inside the car sometime between Dec. 16 and Dec. 18. It was not not made clear how the window was broken out in this incident.

The cost of the damage was estimated at approximately $150.00. The docking station was priced at $50.00.
