Police: Woman Grabs Shotgun in Argument

Charges include two counts of brandishing, according to Prince William County Police.

A Manassas area woman faces charges after she brought a shotgun out during an argument, according to Prince William County Police. 

Nicole Angelica Zia, 22, of Ridgeway Drive, is charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm. 

The 30-year-old male victim, a Manassas resident, reported that he and Zia were arguing when she retrieved a shotgun, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. Zia did not fire any shots and no one was injured. The victim and another person were able to disarm her, Perok said.

Police responded to the incident at 4:20 a.m. and after an investigation, officers arrested Zia. She is held on a $2,500 secured bond and her court date is set for June 19.
