Woman Sexually Assaulted at Pool

Woodbridge man arrested after 19-year-old Manassas woman reported to police she was sexually assaulted while visiting an area pool on Saturday.

A 19-year-old Manassas woman reported to police she was sexually assaulted while visiting a Woodbridge pool on Saturday.

According to Prince William County Police, officers responded to the a community pool located on Sugar Hill Drive in Woodbridge Saturday shortly before 3 p.m. to investigate the alleged assault. 

The victim told police was at the pool when the accused, identified as Miguel Angel Hernandez, 45, of Woodbridge, walked up to her and sexually assaulted her and forcibly grabbed her, pulling her closer to his body.

The victim was able to get away and called police. Hernandez was located at his residence in the 1700 block of Shady River Ct. and arrested.

He is charged with sexual battery and abduction and is being held without bond. A court date has been scheduled for September 7, 2011.
