Woman Steals Vehicle, Goes on Joyride from One 7-Eleven to Another, Police Say

The driver of the car was in the store making a purchase when the suspect took it, Manassas Police said.

A Manassas woman jumped in the driver's seat of a Honda parked at a 7-Eleven and decided to go for a joyride to another 7-Eleven, Manassas Police said. 

Natasha Cook, 30, of Stone Hill Lane in Manassas was arrested and charged with grand larceny and driving on a revoked license, police said. 

Police said the woman had been waiting with others inside the car as the driver went inside the 7-Eleven location at 8708 Liberia Ave. at 3:25 a.m. on Jan 18.

At some point the woman hopped behind the wheel of the 1999 Honda Accord and drove off, despite the driver's attempts to stop her, Manassas Police said.  

Officers recovered the car less than a mile away at another 7-Eleven at 9056 Liberia Ave.

Cook was held on a $10,000 secured bond and a $4,000 secured bond. She is expected to appear in court on the charges on March 4.
