City Welcomes New Economic Development Director

Patrick J. Small will join the city staff in August.

Patrick J. Small will become Manassas' new Economic Development Director effective Aug. 11, City Manager William Patrick Pate announced.

"I'm looking forward to becoming an active member of the community and working with our existing and prospective businesses to help Manassas grow and prosper," Small said in a release from the City of Manassas. "My family and I are excited about relocating to the area.”

Small most recently worked as Director of Economic Development for the City of Portsmouth, Virginia. He has also worked as Director of Economic Development for Isle of Wright and Lancaster counties in Virginia, and for Taylor County in Florida.

“The City is growing, becoming a destination of choice and having Patrick fill this much needed position is a great plus for future Economic Development for the City of Manassas,” Pate said in a release.
