Recently re-elected Virginia Del. Bob Marshall is holding a meeting this week to talk to his constituents about something many have been complaining about for years: Route 28 traffic.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Manassas Park Police Station, located at 329 Manassas Dr. Virginia Sen. Charles "Chuck" Colgan will also be there.

Manassas Park City Council is also expected to be in attendance.
Marshall represents Manassas Park and large parts of Prince William County, including Yorkshire, Loch Lomond, the Sudley area, Haymarket and Gainesville, but not the city of Manassas.

Drivers traveling North on Route 28 through Prince William County on their way to other areas have long complained about the the roadway and how it can no longer accommodate the traffic, resulting in massive delays during rush hours.
Marshall, known for his conservative stance on hot-button issues such as birth control and abortion, said he plans to discuss other matters during the meeting.

The Virginia Assembly will convene next month. A list of bills with Marshall as its chief patron are listed here.
