Del. Rich Anderson No Longer Attending Town Hall This Weekend

Anderson who now represents portions of Manassas will be unable to attend weekend Town Hall meeting.

Delegate Rich Anderson, who represent the 51st House District in the Virginia Genreral Assembly which now includes eight precincts in Manassas, was scheduled to attend a town hall meeting this weekend with Sen. George Barker, but will be unable to attend  because "of a last minute family situation."

The town hall meeting will be held this Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at the  McCoart Government Building near Lake Ridge. Sen. Barker will be present.

According to a prepared statement, Barker will "address the 2011 legislative session, the budget, and redistricting, as well as any other topics constituents wish to discuss."

The event is free and open to the public.

Delegate Anderson's legislative assistant, Ryan M. Galloway, will be present Saturday to "hear questions posed by constituents so that we can take appropriate action when I return to the area on Sunday," according to a statement prepared by the local delegate.

Anderson said he plans on conducting a “make-up” town hall, along with other similar events around Prince William County in order to reach out to residents in the new precincts that have been added to the 51st House District after redistricting.
