Letter: Defeated Council Candidate Thanks Manassas for Good Run
Democratic Candidate for City Council Patricia Richie-Folks thankful for opportunity to run in May 2012 City race.
I want to take this opportunity to say, thank you to Manassas for the privilege of running for City Council; thank you to everyone who participates in local elections which is the very core of our democracy; and thank you to everyone who voted for me and who gave of their time and their resources to help me and my campaign.
I am proud of the campaign that we ran because we stood up for the basic values of inclusiveness, transparency and outreach. These are the values that will build and strengthen Manassas, and improve our school system.
It was a truly wonderful experience and I will continue to be active in the community that I love.
