Prince William County Votes for Chopra, Herring

Precinct-by-Precinct Election Day results for Prince William County.

Though Ralph Northam won the state race for lieutenant governor, the majority Prince William County residents voted for his opponent Aneesh Chopra on Tuesday. 

Chopra received just over 50 percent of the vote in the close race, capturing 1,643 of the 3,237 votes cast in Prince William County, according to unofficial data posted by the Virginia State Board of elections. 

The contest for attorney general was equally close, but Mark Herring pulled out the contest on the state level and in Prince William County just over 50 percent of the vote.

Herring received 1,631 votes in Prince William County while his opponent Justin Fairfax received 1,583 or 49 percent.

Five hours after polls closed, both races were too close to call in Prince William County.
