Swearing In Ceremony Held for Promoted MCPD Officers

Seven Manassas City Police Department officers recently promoted honored at Monday night's city council meeting.

Manassas City Mayor Harry J. Parrish ll had the honor of shaking the hands of seven officers recently promoted within the Manassas City Police Department.

Family and friends of the promoted officers were present for the ceremony and smiled and waved as Police Chief Douglas Keen called out the names of the officers and they walked to the front of the council chambers for recognition.

Lieutenant Quentin F. Lawler to Captain
Sergeant John P. Bisek to Lieutenant
Sergeant Elia Alfonso to Lieutenant
Master Police Officer Eddie Rivera to Sergeant
Senior Police Officer Albert Korngage to Sergeant
Senior Police Officer Tara Moore-Petty to Sergeant
Police Officer Wayne Bombara to Sergeant

This week, May 15 - 21, has been proclaimed 'National Police Week 2011' in the City of Manassas in an effort to "publicly salute the service of law enforcement officers in our community and in communities across the nation," according to city documents.
