The Osbourn High School football team spent the weekend practicing after an eligibility violation against Gar-Field High School last week put the Eagles back in the playoffs.

“We found a way to be destined,” said Eagles Head Coach Steve Schultze after the news broke that Gar-Field was out and Osbourn was back in.
“My first thought was that it was cheesy, but then I thought we are 7-3 and a good team and someone else messed up so we will make the most of it," Shultze added.

The winner of Monday night's playoff game between OHS and Hylton will go on to play Battlefield. Hylton runs a single wing and spread offense like Osbourn does, and are pretty balanced with a good running back.
“We’re excited. We realize they are a good team, but this is an opportunity to get the bad taste out of our mouth from the Gar-Field game where we didn’t play as well as we would have liked," Shultze said.

“We’ve got to hold onto the ball this time, that was our problem against Gar-Field," he added.
The team practiced Saturday and were given permission to practice Sunday as well. The Eagles will play at Hylton Monday night at 7:30.
