2012 Spring Housing Fair

The great event will feature Wells Fargo and Bank of America for foreclosure preventions AND the following two educational sessions on Landlord Tenant issues. 1. 10:30 AM: A comparison of the two Landlord Tenant Laws in the Commonwealth of Virginia – the Residential Landlord Tenant Act and Common Law for Landlords and Tenants. James Scruggs from Legal Services of Northern Virginia will be doing this review as well as reviewing the Tenants Protection in Foreclosure Law. 2. 12:00 PM: Fair Housing for Landlords and Tenants which will review how Fair Housing applies for both parties. Steven Paikin, Director of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity from HUD will be doing this session. This, as you can imagine, is a very important piece of the foreclosure puzzle as more and more individuals become tenants due to the loss of their homes. We are hoping to keep tenant and landlord informed of their rights through education. You can register several ways, 1. I have attached the flyer and the website introduction to this email. Just click the appropriate link. 2. Below is the online registration information. This site will take you right to the registration page: 3. For further information on the event, the website is located at: http://www.manassascity.org/2012SpringEvent.
