Manassas Resident to Play Basketball at Kentucky College

The student attends Paul VI Catholic High School.

An award-winning Fairfax athletic has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the University of Louisville in 2014. 

Ariana Freeman of Manassas attends Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax where she is a guard on the school's basketball team with whom she scored her 1000th point this season.  The Paul VI girls basketball team has won the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association state title the past seven years, according to a ReadMedia release. 

In addition to maintaining a 3.6 Grade Point Average, Freeman, a senior, was named to the All-Met First Team,  the WCAC (Washington Catholic Athletic Conference) All-Conference team, ESPN's Top 100 and named a Virginia Player of the Year.

 In addition athletics, Freeman also serves as a Peer Mentor for students with intellectual disabilities.
