High School Starting Later Next Year: What Do You Think?

Share your thoughts on the new policy for Manassas City Public School students.

The Manassas City Public Schools announced last week that high school students in the city will be heading to school at 8:10 a.m. beginning next year. Currently the school day begins at 7:20 a.m.

The school board is making this move, in part, to prepare for the new Baldwin elementary and intermediate schools opening in 2016, according to InsideNova.com. Other school systems in the area are also investigating a shift to a later start time for high school students.

What do you think of the change. Do high school students need an extra hour in the morning? Tell us in the comments section below!
