Input Sought on Manassas City Schools Calendar

The proposed calendar will be presented to the Manassas City School Board on Tuesday.

Manassas City school administrators want input from parents and other residents on the structuring of the school division’s calendar for the next two school years.

Suggestions and opinions for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school year will be accepted until Friday and must be emailed to Mona Kay Helper by clicking here.

Manassas City Schools Calendar Committee members have already come up with their proposed student and staff calendars and the 12-month calendars for both years.  View what they propose here.

Virginia code requires all state school divisions to have at least 180 instructional days or 990 instructional hours.  Kindergarten classes may have less.

 The proposed calendars will be presented to the Manassas City School Board on Tuesday.

School division superintendent Dr. Catherine Magouyrk will also present her proposed budget for the 2013-2014 school year to the board on Tuesday.
