Manassas to Hold "Tour of Schools" on Saturday

Manassas residents can tour the schools marked for upgrades during the school division's Capital Improvement Project (CIP) discussions.

Parents of children attending school in Manassas are encouraged to attend the school division's "Tour of Schools" on Saturday.

The event, which is from 10 to 12 p.m., will allow Manassas residents to get a up close look at the schools that are mentioned during Capital Improvement Project (CIP) discussions.

During a recent discussion at the Center for the Arts at The Candy Factory in Manassas, school officials said they would like to see a new Baldwin Elementary School built, the second floor of the Johnson Learning Center completed and a new building for the school division's central office.

The tour begins at 10 a.m. at the Central Office located at 9000 Tudor Lane. There will be visits to the central office facilities the Johnson Learning Center, Baldwin Elementary and Dean Elementary. 

Resident RSVPs should be recieved by 5 p.m. Thursday.
